Pour une compatibilité garantie avec presque toute sortie Mini DisplayPort, l'adaptateur actif Mini DisplayPort vers DVI prend en charge les signaux DisplayPort multimode (DP++) et monomode. Ainsi, contrairement aux adaptateurs passifs, le modèle MDP2DVIMM6BS peut même être utilisé avec les cartes graphiques qui ne peuvent pas fournir des signaux de sortie DP++ multimodes, comme les cartes ATI® Eyefinity.
